Artist’s Statement
My paintings convey the essence of land and the formlessness of atmosphere through abstraction and minimalism. My palette consists of the natural tones of earth, water, and sky. I work intuitively, often blending colors with my bare hands and using a variety of mark making tools to create texture. Internal dialogue and environmental forces are reflected in layers of acrylic paint and mixed media. My art practice offers a glimpse of my communion with Earth and Spirit both in and out of the studio. These paintings welcome you into ethereal realms where you will find a calm, meditative space for your own inner reflection.
