ABOUT

I am a colored pencil artist, born, raised and residing in rural upstate New York.  I began my fascination with colored pencil as a young mother waiting for my teenage daughters at sports practices.  As I sat with my drawing board propped on the steering wheel of my vehicle and a box of Prismacolor pencils by my side, I quickly became fascinated with the possibilities to be found at the tip of a simple pencil.

My work is representational and seeks to capture the sudden flash of magic when everyday things are transformed by a change of light and shadow.  These moments have provided an endless source of inspiration and fresh delight during all my years as an artist.

My drawings have won many awards and have been shown in numerous juried exhibitions in upstate New York and Vermont, as well as in seven solo shows.  I am one of the founding members of the Micropolis Cooperative Gallery in Gloversville, New York where my work can always be seen.
